Madman has managed the national theatrical distribution of numerous anime features in 2004, including the Studio Ghibli film retrospectives. Film festivals are supported with various anime product and titles are supplied to repertory cinema on a regular basis. Madman Films presents Australian and foreign independent films reputed for their high artistic merit and critical acclaim, with more than 20 Academy Award winning titles in the catalogue and numerous Australian Film Industry Awards.

In addition, a number of independent Australian theatrical distributors sublicense films to Madman to service the home video market on their behalf.
