Cricketing legend Freddie Flintoff takes on the world in a series of challenges that are mad, bad and dangerous to do!

Synopsis

This is the action packed show that pits celebrity cricketer Freddie Flintoff against other big sport stars in a series of death defying competitions. Thrust headlong into a world of dangerous sporting events, Freddie and his competitors are tested like never before!

Freddie travels across North America meeting each episode’s celebrity challenger on location. Together they discover just what battles are in store for them and are thrown straight into training for the main event. Before taking on the ultimate extreme challenge they have to complete two other dangerous events, with a point to be won in each of them. By the time of the main event the rivalry between the two men is intense and ensures that they will both be desperate to clinch victory.

As they go head to head in the biggest challenge of their lives, you can bet that Freddie and his competitors throw themselves headfirst with boundless enthusiasm into each extreme and potentially deadly competition. Whoever comes out on top will undeniably have earned their prize!

Episode 1: Mexico – Darren Gough
Episode one follows Freddie in Mexico where he’s taking on fellow cricketing legend Darren Gough at Lucho Libre Wrestling and shooting each other out of the sky in Paintball Paragliding before they face their fears in a genuinely death defying showdown – cliff diving in Acapulco.

Episode 2: Arizona – Iwan Thomas
The adventures continue for former cricketing hero Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff as he journeys to Arizona to take on a new challenger, British 400m record holder Iwan Thomas, in more extreme and dangerous challenges. They go bumper to bumper in a destructive demolition derby, shoot off a waterfall in a tiny kayak and face their ultimate fears traversing between Arizona’s terrifying red rocks. Along the way they get cosy in a Winnebago, make friends with a very special pig and come to terms with retiring from sport in a week neither will ever forget.

Episode 3: Texas – Kyran Bracken
In this episode, Freddie’s come to Cow Town, better known as Fort Worth, Texas. Up against former England rugby star (and ice dancing champ) Kyran Bracken, he’ll be becoming a real life cowboy. The two men lock horns in a not so jolly ranching challenge, go head to head in a wild-west shoot out and face the most daunting night of their lives as they ride real bucking bulls in a genuine Texas Rodeo. Along the way they’ll be saddling up with some interesting locals, getting up close and personal with the local wildlife and having a ho-down with some line dancers. Packed with genuine fear and danger, this is an hour of television not to be missed.

Episode 4: Las Vegas – Steve Collins
This week, Freddie is in the city of sin, Las Vegas, taking on Former Boxing World Champ Steve “The Celtic Warrior” Collins. The lads go head to head in a real drag race in front of a packed crowd of 25,000 people, then jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet in the completely made up sport of skydiving bullseye, and are then left hanging around in a zip line challenge. When not risking life and limb, the boys attempt to bet big and gamble their appearance fees and Fred fulfils a lifelong dream by being a best man at an Elvis Wedding – Its Vegas baby!

Episode 5: Canada – Dennis Wise
The adventures continue for former cricketing hero Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff as he journeys to Canada to take on a new challenger, feisty ex-footballer Dennis Wise. They go head to head in the freezing cold of Whitehorse where they tackle an arctic sled race, attempt a ‘zip line canoe challenge’ across the top of an icy lake, and finally brave speeds of up to 60 miles per hour in the luge at the Olympic village of Whistler. Along the way they try to befriend the locals and explore what else the famous ski resort has to offer. We’ll find out once and for all if size does matter in this battle of little versus large.

Episode 6: Palm Springs – Ian Walker
Retired cricketing hero Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff continues his adventure and this time he’s in Palm Springs, California up against former England goalie Ian Walker. In this action packed episode we see the two men head out into the desert dunes to race some high powered sand dune buggies, compete a rock climbing challenge at the beautiful Josuha Tree Park, and attempt the intense and dangerous sport of wing walking – will they be able to handle the heights and make a safe landing?! Not the most preferable choice of sports for Ian who has a terror of heights!! Along the way they’ll be seeing what else the desert has to offer and visit Elvis’ house! Packed with genuine fear and danger, this is an hour of television not to be missed.

Episode 7: Laguna Beach – Dennis Rodman
Freddie Flintoff’s adventures continue as he journeys to Laguna Beach, California to take on former basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman in more extreme and dangerous challenges. But for Freddie perhaps the most daunting challenge of all is just getting to know his eccentric competitor. We see Freddie and Dennis take to the skies to become fighter plots for the day and tackle death defying corners and jumps in a motorcross challenge. And as the competition stiffens the two stars begin to form a bond.

Episode 8: The Best Of Freddie Versus The World
