Epic high. Killer come down.
Synopsis
1990. England. A revolution is building across the UK. Dilapidated warehouses and factories come to life at night. Euphoric teens defy police and cordons to embrace life and hit the dancefloor. Acid house has arrived and friends Matt (Henry Lloyd-Hughes, THE IN BETWEENERS) and Dylan (Jack O'Connell, SKINS) are at the heart of it. This is their story.
Tired of scamming their way through life, Matt and Dylan decide to put on their very first rave, assisted by their mates Sarah and Claire (Emily Barclay, SUBURBAN MAYHEM) and with the beats provided by the maddest DJ on the scene, Captain Acid. When their success catches the eye of a London clubbing kingpin, the boys are whisked away to an exclusive VIP world of Ibiza villas, cash, drugs and temptation...
Complete with a killer soundtrack of classic party anthems compiled by legendary '90s DJ Terry Farley, WEEKENDER is the hard-parting celebration of a bygone era: when rave was king.
