B2B News

The weather in Brisbane has been posted as a severe weather event. In some areas overnight they have had over 200 mls of rain, and about 70 on average in Brisbane. There is a deepening low pressure system currently sitting over the South East, which will affect all areas from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast and Maryborough districts. The Weather Bureau has reported that this system has started to rotate and winds are expected to increase to 90 klms per hour throughout today and tomorrow with rainfall in most areas in excess of 100mls.

As reported yesterday this will affect deliveries into a lot of areas, there are already many road closures including the Bruce Highway South bound near Caboolture, and many local roads throughout Brisbane metro. Drivers have been instructed to deliver where able, and to utilise the undeliverable default in the system, unable to access due to floods.

Areas such as Murwillimbah, Tweed Heads etc have also been affected by high waters and strong winds.

I will keep you posted with any further news or any other carrier updates, but for now, please be advised that there may be issues moving freight into QLD and Northern NSW.
