Toll IPEC – Queensland and Victorian Flood Update
Wednesday 19th January 2011 (11:30 AEDST)
All Toll IPEC’s depots are fully operational and have not been directly impacted by flooding.
Please see below updates for specific regions that have been impacted by flooding in both QLD and Victoria.
BRISBANE UPDATE:
There are still some 24,000 homes and businesses without power in the local Brisbane area and the clean up still continues. Yesterday we suffered from some road closures and diversions that are still present, however today is very much back to business as usual.
Rockhampton Region Update:
All is going well today. Reports are that the airport may be able to re-open by the end of the week.
Maroochydore and South Burnett Update:
Gympie/Maryborough/Bundaberg deliveries and pickups are all going well today.
As reported yesterday; Yarraman and Kingaroy are currently being diverted via Gympie due to the road closures at the Blackbutt range; this may continue for up to a week before this will re-open.
Toowoomba Update:
Toowoomba is working as normal.
As reported yesterday; the Tara and Condamine regions will most likely be closed for the remainder of the week at this stage.
North QLD PM Update:
Also all going very well today
Victoria:
Rupanyup, Warracknabeal, Dimboola, St Arnaud, Donald, Nhill, Kaniva, Murtoa and Minyip, all surrounding areas of Horsham will not receive deliveries today. This has been caused by the flow on affect from the Wimmera River flooding Horsham. We are endeavouring to catch up on all Horsham deliveries today to clear the backlog.
There will be no deliveries at all into Kerang today due to concern over the structural integrity of a key levy bank in the area.
All deliveries into Rochester and Charlton will again be attempted today. Several deliveries were completed yesterday in these areas.
Please note that some stores will be closed and access may be limited due to traffic and or flood damage.
